Written and produced by the stunning Vivienne Harvey – Lena in Sparks – it’s doing very well on the festival circuit and is an accomplished directorial debut for her fella Hugo Speer.

Zeus’ Pamphlet are a pentangle of sketch performers who have a regular sell out show at the Hen and Chickens theatre, N1. They are a very funny bunch indeed and they are on their way to the Edinburgh Festival. This coming Monday in fact.

You can catch them twatting about at 14:40pm from the 6th – 28th of August (except the 16th) at the Belly Laugh in the Underbelly.

Good friend of Curve’s and astonishingly hot and talented actress Heather Darcy, is part of this group and after a remarkably sinister performance in Curve’s twisted short – ‘The Interview’ – she comes highly recommended.

One of my scorpions – Chris (yes, I named him after me) makes his film debut in Chris Armstrong’s quirky, dark short – Moneyback. Simon, the smallest of the scorpions had a small part as well, creeping out of my mouth. Don’t ask.
There was even a role for Montse, well, her body at least. She died over a year ago and I had her in a tub on my bookshelf but Armstrong wanted to smash her with a hammer. I wouldn’t let him go that far but once out of her plastic coffin she got a bit smelly so I had to throw her away.
Dead scorpions smell a bit like old fish – for the record.

This is ‘where’ I spent my last night in Vegas, and not – contrary to popular belief – ‘who’ I spent it with…

I’ve recently got back from Las Vegas where I was working at the NAB convention. Vegas isn’t somewhere I would usually associate with work but Forbidden Technologies (my other job – the one that pays the mortgage) had a lot of good interest and some exciting leads. I largely avoided gambling but my waistline suffered and there were a couple nights of typical Vegas shenanigans. The most memorable night, although largely gone from my memory, was on a roof terrace in Caesar’s Palace. I never want vodka and red bull again.

Even though we filmed Robophobia way back in June ’10, we just wanted to give a nod to the gorgeous Joanne Massey aka Lola Lamour, whose wonderfully impeccable 50′s house we took over for a day.
Joanne and her house are amazing and her hubby’s a Who fan too!
